Promote health & wellness this April

April is filled with important health related events such as Autism awareness month and World Health Day. Sponsoring a promotional event or fundraiser around these causes is a great opportunity for your business to give back to the community and endear itself in the eyes of customers and associates.

There are various causes to choose from and even more ways to lend a hand and show your support:

April is Autism Awareness Month

Autism now affects 1 in 68 children–and those numbers are growing. More people than ever are looking for information, resources, and support.  Host an awareness event at your workplace or in your community, and help everyone find the information they need!  These tips and products from Myron will come in handy:

Give each of your staffers a badge holder, such as Myron’s Promotional Badge Holder with Slide Clip, decorated with an awareness ribbon and message about autism. These holders will spread the word all month, and even beyond, for just pennies per day.

Team up with a local special-needs school to offer sensory activities that appeal to children with autism, since their parents may take them along to your event. Good choices include art projects and a music/dance jam; work with your partner organization to learn more. And help attendees remember who provided the good time with a souvenir such as this 16” Promotional Beach Ball, personalized with your logo.

Offer a free blood-pressure screening or other health test for adults at the event. Remember, many potential attendees may not have autism themselves. A free screening will give them incentive to drop by, and then stay to learn about the condition. Want to help everyone remember to practice good health habits, including getting plenty of exercise, going forward? Reward them with our Personalized Champion’s Jump Rope. With your company information on the handle, they’ll remember who helped them get a grip on their fitness program!

Keep everyone comfortable if the event is outdoors. Some adults and children with autism have difficulty with body-temperature regulation. Handing out Myron’s imprinted 21 Oz Value Bottle means they’ll have an easy way to keep some cool H20 close by.

Don’t forget World Health Day on April 7th!

World Health Day was instituted to commemorate the founding of the World Health Organization and is seen as an opportunity by WHO to draw attention to a different subject of major importance to global health each year. This year’s spotlight is on Food Safety, both in helping prevent foodborne illness as well as working together to ensure that the food on our plates is safe.

Holding a wellness fair on this special day? Myron’s got the health education giveaways you need such as hand sanitizers, food containers and custom lunch bags.

Sarcoidosis Awareness Month

Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease that causes small lumps of cells (granulomas) to form in organs throughout the body, most commonly in the lungs or lymph nodes. With no known cause, and symptoms common to other illnesses, Sarcoidosis can be difficult to diagnose.
