The Lakeway Regional Medical Center recently celebrated its first anniversary, and distributed promotional items to commemorate the occasion. In early May 2013, the hospital invited the public to visit and participate in a unique gathering that included food prepared by staff members, entertainment for children and contests. Scott McElwee, senior director of business development at Lakeway, stated that the event was meant to show people how much they mean to the facility.
“After several years of strategic planning, hard work and perseverance to pursue patient excellence and service, we are very excited and pleased to invite the community here and thank them for their support in the growth and success of their community hospital,” McElwee said in a statement.
Local businesses also had booths at the medical center and had special activities in which guests could participate. Independent companies also held promotional giveaways to help Lakeway celebrate its first anniversary.
